Merry Shred-mas from Zach Leach

|
ZL_blog_1_pic.jpgFor the past two weeks I have been splitboarding and hiking to avoid the holiday crowds. So I have been hiking with my friend Mule  up some of our favorite bowls, to slash the great white wave and get a better perspective on the snow pack.

I will be  hiking and shredding all through the holidays. Merry Christmas.

Yesterday Pat Moore and I went to Brighton for a day of undocumented fun, and we accomplished this. Chasing each other down the mountain gaping everything we could find, from mogul hops to natural stump jumps. We could  still use a little more snow for dropping the bigger drops but with snow flying over your head on every turn you can’t go wrong.

We finished the day by hiking up off to our stash from the top of the lift only to find that it was untouched, we raced to strap in and Pat charged through the first set of trees into a sweet steep snow field. The sluff from his fist turn was chasing him down but the snow pack is still to light to affect anything.

With a little new snow falling in the mountains last night, I am heading back to Brighton to make a few more turns before I jump in my truck and head to Jackson, WY to ride with Travis Rice and drop off his Christmas present.  It has been snowing there for the past few days. With reports of big drops and soft landings I have to get up there to shred with the boys.

I will give you an update when I roll back into SLC for Christmas.

Peace and Happy Holidays
